Our practice merger

Saltaire Medical Practice and Windhill Green Medical Practice and their branch surgeries at Cliffe Avenue and Cottingley have become one practice.

Having worked together successfully for a number of years, our GP partners wanted to become one practice. This will improve and future-proof safe, effective and sustainable primary care for local people.

Both practices share a background of practicing high quality, patient-centred care supported by a hard-working and dedicated team. We are excited to have the opportunity of working together to become even stronger as a wider team.

We will maintain our current surgery buildings and patients will retain the same named GP. The name of the practice has changed to The Saltaire and Windhill Medical Partnership.

Why are the GP partnerships merging?

Dr Richard Haddad, GP partner at Saltaire Medical Practice said: “This is a positive decision. Our practices have a long history of working together and this is the logical next step to ensure future viability and to protect and enhance patient services”.

Dr Steve Chadwick, GP partner at Windhill Green Medical Practice said: “We know from experience that we have like-minded values and share the same ethos and vision for patient services. Our practices have a history of providing high quality patient care and our aim is to continue and enhance the delivery of this to our patients. Both practices have a strong reputation in training and we all believe in educating and empowering our next generation of doctors and nurses”.

Catherine Smith, business manager said: “As a whole team there will be more opportunity to be forward thinking and innovative to ensure we deliver a high quality of care responsive to the needs of our practice population and staff. This merger will enable the practices to develop a more sustainable future, investing in new staff, facilities and equipment for our patients”.
