This year’s Autumn Flu and Covid-19 vaccine programmes will start earlier than planned in England as a precautionary measure following the identification of a new Covid variant.
The UK Health Security Agency suggests that speeding up the Autumn vaccination programme will deliver greater protection, supporting those at greatest risk of severe illness and reducing the potential impact on the NHS.
All eligible patients are receiving an invitation by text to book into our Saturday flu clinics commencing Saturday 23rd September. If you are already booked in for a flu vaccination an additional text will be sent to advise that you will also be able to receive a Covid-19 vaccination at the same time, subject to available stock.
Eligible patients are those over 65 and those aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group.
Please note all clinics are pre-bookable only – there is no drop-in service.
