Maternity Care

Maternity care is usually provided by the midwifery teams based either at Bradford Royal Infirmary of Airedale General Hospital.  Please make a GP appointment as soon as you can to discuss important aspects of looking after yourself in the first few weeks of pregnancy.  In the meantime, we strongly recommend all pregnant women take over the counter folic acid supplementation to help ensure healthy development of your baby’s brain and nervous system.

If you wish to have your baby at Airedale you should also contact their midwives directly on 01535 292411. BRI also offer self-booking with their midwives who can be contacted on 01274 364502, or your GP will refer you following your appointment.

For more information about pregnancy we recommend the NHS website as a good starting point.
