COVID-19 Vaccination for Children Aged 5 to 11

flu virus
If you have received a SMS message from us inviting your child for COVID vaccination then it means they have been identified as eligible for a COVID vaccination as part of the next phase of the national COVID vaccination programme. This phase offers the vaccine to children with underlying health conditions that make them more vulnerable to COVID or who live with someone with a weakened immune system.

Conditions such as autistic spectrum disorder, coeliac disease, conditions which weaken the immune system and epilepsy make children eligible for this stage of the vaccination programme.

Patients of The Saltaire & Windhill Medical Partnership are being offered appointments at Shipley Health Centre. Please ring their booking line on 01274 424001 to book an appointment.

Please note that the booking line is staffed by administrative staff who will not be able to answer any clinical questions.  More information about COVID vaccination in your child’s age group, including answers to common questions, is available here. If your questions are not answered by reading this guide then please contact your usual Saltaire & Windhill Medical Partnership branch to arrange an appointment with a clinician. Please do not contact Shipley Health Centre with clinical questions.

Please note that you will be required to show the SMS message we have sent you as proof of eligibility when attending Shipley Health Centre so please do not delete it.
